Announcements
  • After many months, many unexpected delays and unforeseen trials, we can begin to see the end of our construction. During September we hope to see the exterior finished with new windows, siding and roofing.  We also hope to see insulation and sheetrock covering the interior by the end of the month.  After this it will remain to us to paint the interior and to complete many of the small and sometimes tedious “finishes” to meet the expectations of the building code.  With God’s help it is conceivable that sometime in October we will qualify for our final permanent “occupancy permit” for the building.  But this will, of course, require the help and cooperation of every member of our parish so please be ready and willing to help whenever there is a need.
  • Archbishop Kyrill will be joining us in November (9 & 10) at which time we will bless the cross for the top of the Church and raise it into position. This is the final step in completing the construction project.
  • We will continue – for the time being – to have vigil in the hall on Saturday nights and “pop-up” Liturgy in the Church on Sundays.
  • There are two great feasts during the month of September: The Birth of the Virgin (9/21 civil calendar) and the Elevation of the Cross (9/27 civil calendar). There will be vigil on 9/20 at 6 p.m. and Divine Liturgy on 9/21 at 9:30 a.m.  Also there will be vigil on 9/26 at 6 p.m. and Liturgy at 8 a.m. on 9/27.
