St. Seraphim of Sarov Orthodox Church
872 N. 29th St. Boise, ID
an American parish of the Russian Orthodox Church
Welcome to Our Parish!
Welcome to St. Seraphim of Sarov Orthodox Church. We are an American mission parish of the Russian Orthodox Church. In our parish you will find Orthodox Christians from many different backgrounds. Of course there are Russians and Americans, however you will also find Serbs, Bulgarians, Romanians and others. Because we are a mission parish, our services are mostly in English, however, there is also some Slavonic as a remembrance of our ties to the Russian Church. We are under the Synod of Bishops of the Russian Orthodox Church Outside of Russia, headed by Metropolitan HILARION of New York and Eastern America. We are in the diocese of Western America under the pastoral rule of Archbishop KYRILL of San Francisco and Western America. We welcome your visit both here on our webpage and in person at our parish.
Church Construction

The church remodeling project to raise the roof is in progress.  Watch our Facebook page for photos of what is happening!  Donations for this project are always welcome and can be made via the the PayPal button at the bottom of this page.

Due to the construction we will be worshiping with Holy Transfiguration parish in Meridian for the feast of Pentecost on June 16.  The Perennial Pan-Orthodox Pentecost Picnic in the Park will be immediately following the kneeling vespers as it has been in the past.  However, since we will all be in Meridian that Sunday, the picnic will be in Settlers Park at the corner of Ustick and Meridian Road.  This is the same park as for the Bright Monday picnic.

It is our hope to hold vespers in our hall on June 22 and liturgy in the church on June 23 if it is possible to set up with the construction in progress.  Watch this page for current information.
