- The feast of the Protection of the Virgin Mary is Saturday, Oct. 14. There will be vigil for the feast on Friday evening at 6 p.m. and Divine Liturgy for the feast on Saturday morning at 9:30 a.m.
- We have resumed our Law of God classes; this month they will be on Oct. 11 and Oct. 18. Please note the temporary departure from the regular schedule. Vespers is at 6 p.m. followed by the class.
- Fr. David will be absent the weekend of Oct. 21 & 22 in order to participate in the Great Consecration of our sister parish, St. Martin the Merciful Church in Corvallis OR. Fr. Matthew will conduct reader’s services on Saturday evening at 6 p.m. and Sunday morning at 9:30 a.m.
- The renovation to our roof is continuing, however due to the fast approach of the rainy season and winter weather, it seems prudent to postpone the actual construction to next spring after the food festival. In the meantime we will be working with the architect and engineer to complete the plans and submit them to the city for approval. This will also give the builder the chance to put together his bid and arrange for resources so that no time will be wasted when the time comes to begin.
