Announcements
  • The feast of the Entrance of the Mother of God into the Temple falls on Monday Dec. 4 (11/21). Vigil will be Sunday evening Dec. 3 at 6 p.m. and Divine Liturgy for the feast will be at 9 a.m. on Monday.
  • The Annual Parish Meeting will be Dec. 17 following the meal after Liturgy.
  • Remember to set your personal Giving Goals for 2024 and submit them to the treasurer so that the parish can plan a reasonable budget for the coming year.
  • The Feast of St. Nicholas is on Tuesday Dec. 19 (12/6). There will be Great Vespers on Monday evening at 6 p.m. and Divine Liturgy on Tuesday morning at 9 a.m
  • The feast of St. Herman of Alaska and St. Spiridon falls on Monday Dec. 25 (12/12). There will be Great Vespers on Sunday evening at 6 p.m. and Divine Liturgy on Monday at 9 a.m.
  • The St. Herman’s Youth Conference is Dec. 26-29 in Las Vegas. Please remember those from this parish who are attending in your prayers.
  • Nativity Fast began on Nov. 28 (15) and continues through the feast of our Lord’s Nativity on Jan. 7 (12/25). This fast is somewhat relaxed (similar to Apostles Fast in June and July). Note the calendar for the various levels of relaxation (when fish, wine and oil are permitted) to the fasting rule.
  • The feast of our Lord’s Nativity (Christmas) falls on Sunday Jan. 7 (12/25). There will be Christmas Vigil at 5 p.m. followed by the parish Christmas Eve Party on Saturday Evening after Vigil. The Liturgy for Nativity will be Sunday morning at 9:30 a.m.
  • The period between Nativity and Theophany Eve (1/7-17) is fast free. Theophany Eve (1/18) is a fast day.
  • The Feast of our Lord’s Baptism (Theophany) falls on Friday Jan. 19 (1/6). There will be Vigil for the Feast on Thursday evening at 6 p.m. with the Great Blessing of Water and Liturgy for the Feast on Friday at 9 a.m. followed by a second Great Blessing of Waters at Quinn’s Pond.
  • Remember to contact Fr. Matthew or Fr. David about having your home blessed during the season between Theophany and the beginning of Cheese Week (March 10).
