  • The week of the Publican and Pharisee – Feb. 5-11 – is a Fast Free week.
  • The feast of the Meeting of the Lord (2/2 os) falls on Wednesday Feb. 15. There will be Vigil on Tuesday at 6 p.m. and Liturgy on Wednesday at 9 a.m.
  • Additional weekday Liturgies for February: 2/2 St. Euthymius, 2/9 St. John Chrysostom, 2/23 HM Haralampus – all at 9 a.m.
  • There will be the Molieben and Akathist to the Virgin followed by the first Lenten class on Revelation on Feb. 24 at 6 p.m.
  • Saturday Feb. 18 is the Liturgy for the Commemoration of the Departed at 9 a.m. This takes the place of the monthly general Pannykhida.  Please make sure your lists of those to be remembered in the Liturgy are submitted by Friday evening (2/17).
  • Meatfare Sunday (the last day for meat before Great Lent) is Feb. 19. Cheesefare week (Syrnaya Sedmitsa) is Feb. 20-26.  Cheesefare (the last day before Great Lent) is Feb. 26.  Great Lent begins Feb. 27.
  • The Great Canon of St Andrew will be sung with the Great Compline on Monday, Feb. 27 – Thursday March 2 at 6 p.m.
  • The First Sunday evening of Great Lent, March 5, the Pan Orthodox Vespers will be at Holy Transfiguration parish at 6 p.m.
  • Presanctified Liturgies for March: 3/1 at 9 a.m., 3/8 at 9 a.m, 3/15 at 9 a.m., 3/22 at 6 p.m. (joint celebration with Holy Transfiguration parish), 3/29 at 9 a.m.
  • Friday evenings during Lent there will be small compline with the Akathist to the Mother of God and class on Revelation at 6 p.m.
  • Wednesday evening, 3/29 at 6 p.m., there will be the matins with the Great Canon of St. Andrew of Crete.
