- The Apostles’ fast begins June 8. This summer fast remembering the struggles of the faithful following the establishment of the Church on Pentecost is fairly relaxed with wine and oil allowed many days and fish on all weekends. It continues throughout June until the feast of SS Peter and Paul on July 12
- The feast of St. John of San Francisco is set on the date of his death, July 2 (6/19). In his cathedral the celebration is often kept on the nearest Saturday. In our parish we will celebrate the feast on Thursday July 2 with the Vigil on Wednesday evening at 6 p.m. and the Liturgy at 8 a.m. on Thursday morning.
