Announcements
- The Apostles’ Fast begins Monday June 4 and continues through July 11. This fast is less strict, similar to the Advent Fast. This fast reminds us of the struggles of the Apostles in the preaching of the Gospel as well as preparing us for our own struggles in fulfilling the Gospel commandments.
- The Law of God classes will resume on Sunday evening June 17 after the 6 p.m. Vespers service. We will resume with “The Life of the First Christians” on page 384 (English version). The classes will be held every other week on Sunday evening.
- Sunday June 24 will be our annual parish meeting. We will have the opportunity to review the preliminary results of the festival and to review the construction schedule/arrangements for the summer.
- The feast of St. John of San Francisco will be celebrated on Saturday June 30 (17). There will be Vigil on Friday evening at 6 p.m. and Divine Liturgy at 9:30 a.m. Saturday morning.
