Announcements
  • The final two Bible studies on the book of Philippians will be Dec. 4 and Dec. 11.
  • We will be baking prosphora on Saturday, Dec. 7 at 10:00 in the hall.
  • There will be a Slavonic Liturgy on Saturday, Dec. 14 for the Prophet Nahum.
  • Wednesday Dec. 4 is the feast of the Entry of the Mother of God to the temple. There will be Vigil on Tuesday evening at 6 p.m. for the feast and Divine Liturgy on Wednesday morning at 9 a.m.  There will be coffee hour after this feast.
  • Thursday Dec. 19 is the feast of St. Nicholas. There will be Vigil on Wednesday evening at 6 p.m. and Divine Liturgy on Thursday morning at 9 a.m.
  • The annual parish meeting will be Sunday Dec. 22 after coffee hour.
  • Wednesday Dec. 25 (Western Christmas) is the feast of Saints Spyridon and Herman. There will be Great Vespers on Tuesday evening at 6 p.m. and Divine Liturgy on Wednesday morning at 9 a.m.
  • Tuesday Jan. 7 (12/25 os) is the feast of the Nativity of the Lord (Christmas).  The Vigil for the feast will begin at 5 p.m. on Monday, followed by a fasting celebration (sochelnik) and the singing of carols (starring). Liturgy for the feast will be at 9 a.m. on Tuesday morning.
  • There will be a Slavonic Liturgy on Saturday Jan. 11 at 9 a.m. for the Holy Innocents.
  • The winter feast of St. Seraphim is Wednesday Jan. 15 (1/2 os). There will be Vigil for St. Seraphim at 6 p.m. on Tuesday and Divine Liturgy for the Saint at 9 a.m. on Wednesday.  There will be coffee hour after this feast.
  • The feast of Theophany (the Baptism of the Lord) is on Sunday Jan. 19 (1/6 os). There will be the Vesperal Divine Liturgy for the eve of the feast on Saturday morning at 9 a.m., with the Great Blessing of Water at Whitewater Park (weather permitting). On Saturday evening there will be the regular Vigil for the feast and following the Liturgy on Sunday there will be a second Great Blessing of Water at the Church.

  • Additional weekday liturgies in December and January will be 12/12 (Martyr Paramon), 1/2 (St. Ignatius), 1/23 (St. Gregory), and 1/30 (St. Anthony the Great). These liturgies all begin at 9 a.m.
