Announcements
  • Due to the Feast of the Annuncation which falls during the 5th week of Great Lent, the Matins with the Great Canon of St. Andrew of Crete and the life of Mary of Egypt is transferred to Monday evening 4/4 at 6 p.m.
  • The Great Feast of the Annunciation falls on Thursday April 7 (3/25). There will be Vigil for the feast on Wednesday evening 4/6 at 6 p.m. and Divine Liturgy for the feast on Thursday morning 4/7 at 8 a.m.  This is the only day during the Lenten fast where fish is permitted.
  • Saturday April 16 begins the services of Holy Week with the Liturgy for the Raising of Lazarus. There will be Daily Lenten Vespers at 6 p.m. on Friday 4/15 and Liturgy for Lazarus at 9 a.m. on Saturday 4/16.  Caviar is permitted on this day.
  • Sunday April 17 is Palm Sunday, the Sunday of the Entrance of the Lord into Jerusalem. At the Saturday evening Vigil (4/16 at 6 p.m.) the branches of palm and willow will be blessed and distributed. Sunday morning Liturgy will be as usual.  Fish is permitted to be eaten on this day.

  • On Great Friday night after the matins of the burial and until the beginning of Liturgy on Saturday, there will be an opportunity to read the Psalter before the Plashchinitsa – please see Fr. Matthew to schedule a time to come and read
  • Pascha falls on April 24. Bright Week (4/24-30) is a fast free week.
  • There will be a Divine Liturgy on Bright Friday 4/29 at 7:30 a.m. for the Mother of God, the Life Giving Spring.
  • Thursday morning daily Divine Liturgies will resume in May: 5/5 & 5/19 at 9 a.m.; 5/12 & 5/26 at 7:30 a.m.
  • Radonitsa, the general commemoration of the departed, falls on May 3. There will be a great pannykhida for the departed on that day at 6 p.m.  Fr. David and Fr. Matthew will also be visiting the graves on that day.  If you wish to schedule a time on that day for a graveside pannykhida, please contact them directly.
  • In May, the Molieben and Akathist to the Virgin Mary will be on May 13 & 27. There will be no Law of God classes until after Pentecost.
