- Nativity fast continues throughout the month of December. During this fast Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays are kept as strict fast days; Tuesdays and Thursdays are kept as wine and oil days; and Saturdays and Sundays are kept as fish days.
- There will be a Law of God class on Wednesday Dec. 7 in the narthex following daily vespers at 6:00 p.m. After this we will take a “holiday break” and resume classes in January.
- The St. Nicholas brotherhood will meet at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday Dec. 13 at Holy Transfiguration Church hall. We will again be making sandwiches for the homeless shelter.
- St. Nicholas day is on Monday Dec. 19 (6). There will be vigil for St. Nicholas on Sunday evening at 6:00 p.m. and then the liturgy for St. Nicholas on Monday at 8:00 a.m.
- The St. Herman Youth Conference is set for Dec. 27-30 in Sacramento this year. This conference is targeted towards those 15-25 years in age. There will be a car from the parish going to the conference for those who need a ride.
