  • The Friday evening discussion group will begin on March 4 at 7 p.m. During the prelenten period (March 4 & 11) the discussion will begin at 7 p.m. Beginning with the first Friday of Great Lent, March 18, (and every Friday during Great Lent) the small compline with the Akathist to the Mother of God will begin at 6 p.m. The discussion group will meet following the service for a light Lenten meal and our discussion of the weekly text.
  • Cheese week (Maslinitsa) is March 7-13. During this week all foods except meat are permitted every day.
  • The first week of Great Lent begins March 14. During the first week, there will be Great Compline with the Canon of St. Andrew Monday - Thrusday at 6 p.m. On Friday evening, at 6 p.m., there will be Small Compline with the Akathist to the Mother of God. On Wednesday morning (March 16) there will be Presanctified Divine Liturgy at 8 a.m.
  • On the first Sunday of Lent, March 20, at 6 p.m. there will the prayers for those in error followed by a cross procession with icons from our parish to the parish of Holy Transfiguration (25th & Regan) where there will be a joint Lenten Vespers.
  • During the second week of Great Lent, there will be presanctified Divine Liturgy on Wednesday evening, (March 23) at 6 p.m. Presanctified Divine Liturgy will alternate morning and evening every Wednesday during the fast with the exception of March 30 due to Fr. David’s absence.
  • There will be a parish council meeting on Sunday March 27 following the meal after Liturgy.
